PLEASE NOTE October 8, 2026 is our next meeting at 6:30 pm Studio 1 behind the Huntington Museum of Art. New members, please bring an example of the art you successfully juried into TSAA. We will have a reception in your honor! At this meeting, we will have an election of officers and board of directors to take office 1/1/2027. Please think of ways you can help our group grow! TSAA important Announcements September 21, 2026.
Thanks to all the artists who participated in Fall Art in the Park!!!!
TSAA Artists have been noticed and been appreciated in all the shows in 2026. By entering art shows, artists can build their art resumes. Remember juried shows choose art by their juror and results can be acceptance, awards, or non-selected. Don’t be discouraged! Just keep entering. You could enter the same painting in 3 different shows and get different results.

Allied Artists of West Virginia had their open reception last Friday, September 18 for their 74th Juried Exhibition at Parkersburg Art Center. 4 merit awards were announced with 3 TSAA artists winning: LeeAnn Billups Blevins, Ann Grimes and Vernon Howell. The following have notified us of their acceptance: LeeAnn Billups Blevins (3), Pam Conley (1), Ann Grimes (2), Brandon Howard (2), Vernon Howell (3), Don McDowell (2), Laura Moul (3), Melanie Myhe (2), Debbie Sisson (2), Steve Sisson (2), Linda Stonestreet (1). We could enter 3. 79 artwork was selected from 45 artists. Eleven TSAA members had 25 artworks accepted. Show will continue through October 30.
Linda Childers: Her latest artist accomplishment: Marshall University 1000 piece puzzles can be purchased from Wildflower Gift Gallery and The Red Caboose in Huntington. She has blankets, wood block paintings of individual buildings, etc. All of her profits will go to Cabell County School Foundation, which helps teachers’ special projects.

DESIGNATIONS
Artists will designate themselves as Professional, Amateur, or Youth for this festival.
A Professional Artist earns 30% or more of their income from creating/teaching art (active or retired),
has specialized training, or is considered a professional by their peers.
An Amateur Artist does not rely on income from art, has limited training, and is not pursuing art as a
career.
A Youth Artist is under the age of 18 as of October 5, 2026.
Each artist may enter pieces under only ONE designation.

2026 Inspire Art Show Entry Application

The art show will be held on Saturday, October 10th, 2026 beginning at 2:00pm. Awards ceremony is at 3:00pm. The
show will be held at Ohio University Southern Campus during the Festival of the Hills. Hosted by Third & Center,
OUSC, and Acorn & Oak Photography.
The registration deadline is October 1st, 2026 at 11:59pm. Acceptance emails will go out October 2nd, 2026. Please
ensure your email is correct before submitting this form as this is where emails will be sent.
Pieces are to be dropped off on October 7th, 2026 between at 4pm and 7pm in the Rotunda at OUSC. Each artist is
responsible for a tabletop or freestanding easel for 2D works (you can use a wire wreath stand). Tables and stands
will be supplied for smaller 2D and 3D works. Name of artist and title of piece must be attached to the back or bottom
of your piece. Size of each piece is limited to 20×24 inches including frame.
Artists must live within 50 miles of Ironton, OH, and be 16 years of age or older to submit work. Artist understands the
utmost care will be to each piece. However, we do not insure or agree to be responsible for theft, damage, or loss of
any piece. Pieces MUST stay within a family-friendly theme. Completion of this form does not guarantee
your pieces will be displayed in the show. Artist will be contacted via email if their pieces are accepted to be displayed
along with instructions to pay the entry fee. Payment must be made no later than October 7th, 2026 at 7:00pm.Pickup
of art is immediately following the awards ceremony. Please be prepared to arrange pickup at this time if you cannot
attend. Any work remaining will be considered abandoned. Each artist may submit up to 2 (two) pieces for an entry
fee of $10. This year’s judge is Sassa Wilkes from Huntington, WV, well-known for his art and community.
